Missed a quest

When I first started the game I could only afford to enter both of my warriors into the warriors guild(I don't use gold cheats) so at the time I didn't enter my thief into the guild. The first, or one of the first, guild quests you get is to kill a named troll that if just out of town. Well I finished this quest with the two warriors, went back to the armory, got the reward, etc. Well after getting enough cash to get my thief(now ninja) into the warriors guild he started doing the quests with the warriors. Problem is, he isn't able to get the quest he missed out on and as such is lacking a guild level within the warrior's guild. So now my warriors are starting to be able to get cool skills/traits while my thief/ninja can't. I'm wondering if anyone has experienced this problem before and also if this is going to keep my thief/ninja from advancing high enough in the warrior's guild to get all the good skills/traits that it offers?

Several of the guild quests can be done only once, like killing and retrieving unique items. Others, like delivering the potion for the temple, can be done over and over again.
But not to worry: there are 3 warrior guilds, offering a total of 8 promotions, and you really only need 5. (Max guild level is 7, but going from level 6 to 7 gives no extra advantages.)
In the second (and third) city you'll find two new guilds: for rogues and oriental characters. They offer only 6 promotions in total, so you might try to make all characters you want members quickly.
