In my school prom is something *bestowed* unto the junior class. Any adult other than the class advisor has no say whatsoever. Neither do the seniors. It's my senior year and the *least* I could get was a prom as good as the one we threw last year right? Come on that's not a big request, one person isn't doing it all by herself right?

WRONG!
Chrissy seems to be the only one into it this year. Everyone else in the junior class could care less. That's obvious from the theme the class decided on. (Which I will not name here, as i'm sure i'll make someone mad.) The decorations haven't been ordered yet, and in Cuba, stuff takes awhile to get here. Especially since they ship it to Norfolk Virginia, and then here. Not good since that prom deadline is coming up, but wait they haven't decided on a date yet either! Wasn't this thing supposed to be in march?!

What's a senior class to do???

This sounds like our prom, but I am a junior (president ). Just remember to enjoy it as much as you can regardless of what it looks like. You can't help it if the class behind you is a bunch of slackers. Be optimistic and go have a good time!

Putting it simply. A prom is like a dance. You eat for about an hour, than you dance for 4 more. There is only one of these a year.

Redblueflare ------> Get the party started by "Pink" should get your classmates dancing. Have a great time and watch what you drink!

[Edited for dancing]

As redblueflare said, but I will add it's usually specific to a certain grade level. Senior Prom is the one most looked forward to as it's the final school dance of a person's public education. Guys wear tuxedos, ladies wear elegant dresses. Kind of a sneak peak at being a grown up. In other words, the biggest social event of the year for those involved.
