So, as you now know what to do in the event of a zombie apocalypse, can you tell me if I need to change my list?

1. Find weapons, guns, ammo, and knives.
2. Find non-perishable food.
3. Barricade house any way possible.
4. Prepare to spend the rest of my life shooting the crap out of zombies

Recently finished "The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle" by Haruki Murakami.

This book has moved me in a way few books have. It's provocative surrealism, insightful perspectives of the human condition, and exploration of the depths of meaningful and not-so-meaningful relationships are elements few works of literary art will ever surpass. Highly recommended!

Just finished "One Second After" by William Forstchen. From the Amazon blurb:
Quote:
a high-altitude nuclear bomb of uncertain origin explodes, unleashing a deadly electromagnetic pulse that instantly disables almost every electrical device in the U.S. and elsewhere in the world. Airplanes, most cars, cellphones, refrigerators—all are fried as the country plunges into literal and metaphoric darkness. History professor John Matherson, who lives with his two daughters in a small North Carolina town, soon figures out what has happened. Aided by local officials, Matherson begins to deal with such long-term effects of the disaster as starvation, disease and roving gangs of barbarians.
Would you & your neighbors work together or turn on each other? How hungry would you have to be before you'll eat the family pet? I thought I'd read for an hour or two for the next few nights, but I couldn't put it down...
