Some of you might know about me rowing, but I am proud to say that last weekend we finally won a match and our final time was pretty good actually.. Good enough for a record in each case YAY!! Finally, after a year of intensive training (virtually each day) we won a match! And it was sooo awsome!!! Still can't believe it

I haven't got any pics yet, but I'll try and post some soon.

What record old boy?

Is it national? International, 2K, 3K, please explain!

Anyway, way to go Link, do you think you'll be appearing in "Rower's monthly"?

Nah.. no "Rower's Monthly" for me I guess; we rowed 6.05 in a 2k match, so that's pretty decent I'd say. Our previous record (on another track) was 6.12, so we're making progress at the least

Ah right, that's really impressive mate! Were you rowing in an eight? The world record fastest 2K by an eight is 5:22, I don't remember who was in it exactly but it was a crew from The Netherlands (but that was Olympic World championship stuff , the under 18 record's probably a lot higher!)

We don't have eights over here, we can only manage quads in the sea. So the times wouldn't be a fair comparison Good luck in your future attempts!

Yeah, it's an eight, and it's in leight weight division as well. The world record (5.22) is probably for the more heavier men in the world, and perhaps it was a Dutch team that rowed that time, but I don't really know about that...
