I'm currently browsing through a book explaining HTML4 and its pretty much giving me a headache. Aren't there any quick page builders around, or programs that turn text into HTML?
Also, who provides the best free webpages? |

Well, I wouldn't know about which sites are the best, I'm still looking for one that lets you use your own HTML, and doesn't take forever to load.
However, if you don't want to write HTML, there's places like homestead (not sure if they're free anymore) but I think it's quite limiting as to what you can do.

quote: Well then, you could try them, they supply you with a list of elements, sounds, backgrounds etc, and you choose the things you want, then it writes all the HTML needed to perform that. However, as I said before, I'm not sure if they're free anymore.

You could also use Netscape Composer or Frontpage Express. They come with the browsers and you don't really have to know any html to use them, even if it always helps.
And if you got lot of money to spend then you should get Dreamweaver... Edit: and here is a good one it seems for what you want to do... http://www.tucows.com/preview/194521.html [ 02-21-2002: Message edited by: Jorath Calar ] |

Homestead is no longer free--which is a real shame. I had two pages over there that were winners, one for business and one for play. Rather pissed me off when I tried to go ahead and sign up for the paid site (for my business) as it was already well-established only to find out they had made no provision for those of us who do not use credit cards! They wouldn't even accept mailed-in payment! Geesh!
