Okay. Back to the shop.
'82 me thinks it was,

Okay... force me to google...

I found The Corvette Story...

The C4 generation of body styles was first released in 1983 as a 1984 model. That was the first of the condom-style Vettes. The C3 generation ended production in 1982, and they were the flowing lots-o-curves body style... one that to this day, still tells me that this car is not like any other car.

Nice pics on that link... all cube-safe.

The 1967 Corvette Sting Ray was awesome.. I did like that design. Reminded me kinda of another fave, the 1954-1957 Mercedes Benz 300SL Gullwing Coupe. (very unique)..

Three eyebrow raisers.

1. 100 Km is not exactly par for the urban course, and 50 Km is less than the distance from here to Louisville, which is only 48 miles.

2. What type of contraption does it take to create sufficient air power to fill one of these up with "high pressure compressed air"? It might be green, but knowing what little I do about air compressors, it will require a power supply, either petrol or electric.

3. Weighing in at a whopping 320Kg makes me cringe to think what would happen if a rogue Yota Prius were to collide with it. Does the price include a life insurance policy?

Nice find, but kinda tapping the verge of insanity don't you think?

No offence but AAAAAARGH!!!!!!! What were the designers of those compressed air cars THINKING? Not at all attractive.

I hope we don't have to drive those when fossil fuels run out, unless they get the look right. They should take a look at Lamborghini or Lotus, maybe even Aston Martin. Find some really nice cars and base the aesthetic design on them. Then they won't be so cringeworthy.

Otherwise, might be an idea for the future.

Now for a REAL car.

Look up "Infiniti Essence" on google and you will come up with one awesome car. Also happens to be hybrid electric.

found another interesting car:
http://evolution.loremo.com/content/view/13/47/lang,en/

It looks pretty hot, and at 157 mpg diesal its insane.

The only issue i can see with it is that it looks pretty low to the ground - i wonder if it will bottom out on speed bumps.

The breakup is starting, Hummer is now Chinese owned from today. I wonder which other parts of GM are going to be sold or closed down?
