Has anybody heard anything about the 5.4 earth quake that hit Italy today? I just heard the end of a report on CNN about it and that many students were burred alive at a school.

I also seen that in the news as well. I have to wait until 11:00 my time for the news to come back on. I hope that it is not to bad. But what is going on in Italy. Seems like they are getting hit extra hard with all of mother natures anger. Maybe that boot will fall into the ocean before CA.

The news over here just stated that an Earthquake just struck a school, killing all the students and teachers inside!

That's awful!!
This is the first I've heard of it, but I guess I'll be checking it out. While I hate to see anyone hurt, the thought of kids being killed really breaks my heart.

Sicily Italy right? Mt. Etna erupts and now this? I used to live there too. Why'd this happen to such little kids? Or anyone for that matter.

How utterly tragic! I'm sending a prayer to the people affected by this quake. Is it really Sicily? I had heard Etna was acting up again. If it is Etna, it's far from over. The volcano seems to be waking up.
Nope, I just looked...it isn't Sicily. It's between Rome and Naples. Still a tragedy. Looks like 29 dead, last count. -Sazerac [ 11-01-2002, 11:05 AM: Message edited by: Sazerac ]
