What is your most memorable D&D moment.Mine was probably when my cousin and me were searching for our stuff in a kobold cavern and he saw a pool of liquid and he jumped in and we both thought it was water and he jumped in and it was acid so it burned off all his clouths and hair and he was walking around naked.Or when he almost got us killed by hittings trees with his hammer which he called "training" and he hit a tree monster and it almost killed us.(The stupid idiot) And I saved him and now he's trying to kill me.

ok ill put something else here, I don't have a ad&d moment, but I do have another RPG moment. My mates and I were playing an RPG called 'Warhamer40K RPG' and I was Ogryn (A huge ogre type dude with massive rippa Gun!) anyway, I charged into a bunch of oncoming orcs while my friend was trying to pick off the leader with his sniper rifle. Ignoring the volley of fire that was coming straight for me, I leapt in the air with my gun out and opened fire, mowing down the whole bunch of orcs! Unfortunatly for me the kickback of the gun hit me in the face and I landed face first on the hard ground, knocking myself out hehe [ 07-21-2002, 03:54 PM: Message edited by: Deathbringer ] |

just the other day I met with some Louisiana Game Masters (im on vacation from cuba, remember). I was fighting a large black dragon who had disguised himself as a bronze dragon. He liked to play with his food before he ate it he said: "Hello Gents! I shall grant you prizes and passage if you answer these riddles"
Riddle 1: "What turns people brown and plants green!" "THE SUN" A clerek said, and he got a potion of water breathing. Riddle 2: "What like's to tear through flesh and has an insatiable apetite?" WIthout waiting for an answer the dragon swooped down, the mages all cast santuary and hid and the clerek drank the potion and dove into the water leaving me (a necro-ranger) and a halfling fighter to pick off the dragon... Well the halfling provided a great diversion and ended up getting swallowed whole after being picked up and chewed for a few rounds, meanwhile i was preparing the first spell that came to my head that would work. I cast vivicection and hoped to tear into the dragon's flesh. I activated my boots of jumping and because the dragon's mouth was full of halfling bits he had to spit before using his breath weapon this gave me the chance to role a critical with a +4 dexterity penalty while in the air. My hands passed through the beasts flesh and i rolled a 10 to rip out its heart. After landing on the ground and seeing the dragon dive-bomb into the ocean, crushing the clerek, the 2 mages and wizard reappeared along with the damaged clerek and they all said "WOW that was great" and i loooked at the heart in my hand and said "uh... anybody want this thing?" and then everyone, including the dead guy, said "I DO!" and i then reared it back into my inventory and said "AY wait a minute... what's so special about this thing?" "Well you know the movie dragon heart!" the DM said. I nodded he said "Well that's a dragon's heart!" "OH YEAH!" I slapped myself in the forehead and still have the item today. if anyone has a good idea on what to do with the heart, please, PM me

wow, that story was hilarious!!!
I don't have too many good stories (few people that I know like to play)... Although, one time my friends were playing Star Wars and one of them, for no reason, dropped two thermal detonators at everyone's feet. There was apparatntly nowhere to go to escape, as they were all in the back of a moving truck. He just said he "felt like it."

In the first AD&D game I played (at a con) our mage was such a weakling that he couldn't carry his own spell-books. So the ranger offers to carry them instead. Then when we had to rest for the first time, he goes out scouting alone and finds 12 hobgoblins - and charges them! He promtly got killed, which left me as the only fighter and our mage without spells
At least I was the last to die

In a AD&D game way ago I played a Dwarf dual-wielding an Axe and a Warhammer, but my character also had a very nice magical Shield and Sword.
I can't remember how I came upon a ring of major wish (only usable once) but while my party was sleeping I made a wish to have two extra arms and thus be able to wield the three weapons and the shield simultaneously! I still remember the reactions of the rest of my party when they woke up and saw me practicing...

Five friends and I have been playing AD&D, with the same party, together for more than a year. One evening, a guy and his girlfriend joined us directly with level 12 characters, they were really a nightmare he played a thief-coward hiding it the shadows all the time not helping us in the fights but nevertheless claiming the biggest part of the loot, his girlfriend a Paladin, casts detect evil each time we come to a village or town and charges all the NPCs that happen to be evil and getting the whole party into a lot of trouble.
We could not exactly kill them since we weren't exactly evil and they were friends of the DM. But in one ruined citadel our spellcasters have used up all their spells and we were a bit wounded we were deciding to find a place to rest when the Paladin-girl spotted a couple of wraiths and charged blindly, we did not follow her. The Thief seeing his girlfriend in trouble and us not helping went into combat for the first... and last time, both ended up killed by the custom uber-wraiths. He tore his character sheet to pieces and left the room, she followed him crying and we ended up befriending the Wraiths.

I used to DM for some of my friends a few years back and we all used to have a great time. One of the most memorable moments happened to a dwarf character. The campaign involved a massive war between man, and orcs and goblins. The players had decided to split up to warn different cities of the imminent attack, and this dwarf character was travelling through some heavily wooded area when he ran into about 50 goblins. He fled, but they pursued, and realising that they could see his bright clothing he was wearing, he stripped off, then hid up a tree! Well it was just after the goblins past that an NPC from the party, a good friend of his, found him, hiding, naked, up this tree!
