All right, I've just about made it to the final fight of the game and I must say, it is really starting to get challenging. The holy avenger battle and the fight during that ritual in the cleric tower were probably the hardest of the game so far.
I have a couple questions before I finish the game though. I plan to play through again on HoF mode, so do I need to export my party before the final battle? Or will they get exported automatically when I beat the game? I've also heard that characters don't keep their cash or containers, so what's the best strategy to get a head start on HoF mode? Fill up the party's inventory with expensive gear to sell when I start over? Or, fill up everyone's packs with all the stacks of potions and ammo I have stored in all those bags? Actually, I guess the real question is whether there are any nice, expensive items worth picking up at the beginning of HoF mode that I couldn't come back for later on. Items that I'd need a bunch of money for at the start of the game? Thanks for the help |

Fillup party's gear with a whole bunch of items if you want to, but don't put them in bags of holding because they disappear. And when you beat the game, just before you exit the game will autosave so you can export.

Yeah, they take away your cash and bags of holding, but not most individual items. So pack in as much as you can manage for resale when you get into HOF mode. You will find some very nice items on sale (new stuff only in HOF) that you'll want. And you really do want experienced characters for HOF. It is MUCH harder than any of the regular modes.

Ok, thanks for the advice. I guess I'll buy back all those extra weapons and gear I sold instead of keeping the stuff like keen arrows and masterwork bolts.

There's the Golden Heart of XXX, the best(BEST) sword in the game at this point, right next to Brilliant Short Sword, Delnar's Cleaver and Light of Cera Summat.
