Staff of Magi + Cloak of Non-Detection = At Will Invisibility that spells/items/effects/abilities that mimic Detect Invisibility or True Sight CANNOT reveal the spellcaster! You simply tap a key and you cannot be found.
For a tactical combat game, that seems a bit munchkinish, eh? Plus the fact that you can acquire these two items in the first ten days makes it all too easy, but also hard to resist temptation... |

*ahem*
... True sight CAN indeed reveal someone with non-detection ... actually, about EVERY detect magespell above lvl 4 or so ignores non-detection. Take it from a solo-assasin-mage who thought he found a way to become invincible Staff of magi is not overpowered that much, the invisibility WILL be dispelled, with OR without cloak of non-detection. And if you do without the F2/F3 cheesing its just another fun trincket (sorry if im sounding a bit fanatical, just finished 4 hours of BG2) |
