On the topic of sport Lanesra, I hear that your cricketers got the Bronze a couple of days ago in the Nat-West thingy. Congratulations on achieving a podium finish - your lads must be rightly proud

Is it true that I hear that Saddam will accept the death penalty as long as he gets to chose the taker - I am betting he has David Beckham in mind .

Mad

Stop me if you have heard these before

Q: Why aren't the England football team allowed to own a dog?
A: Because they can't hold on to a lead.
Q: What's the difference between the England team and a tea-bag?
A: The tea-bag stays in the cup longer.

Q: Why do English make better lovers than Portugese/Germans?
A: Because English are the only ones who can stay on top for 90 Minutes and
still come second!

Q: What is common between a 3 pin plug and the England football team?
A: They are both useless in Europe!

Q: What's the difference between O J Simpson and England?
A: OJ Simpson had a more credible defence

Rumours that David Beckham was seen successfully seducing a young woman in a
Spanish nightclub with a one-liner have been completely refuted by the English
FA, their chief publicity officer stated: "I find it totally preposterous to
suggest that one of our players could make a successful pass to or at anyone."

Apparently David Beckham has been offered the job as stadium announcer
for all England's Euro 2004 games. An FA Spokesman said "We heard David comes
over the PA very well"

Oxo were going to bring out a Euro 2004 Commemorative cube painted red, white
and blue in honour of the England squad. But it was a laughing stock and
crumbled in the box.

Who cares about cycling anyway? It's got to be THE most boring sport to watch except for maybe curling.

I really do admire Donut's subtle sense of humour

I can't watch it without wondering who's on drugs. Bit like the athletics.

Xen, I think this is what Donut was playing with. And just when I thought it had crept under his radar

from the ABC site

"An investigation into allegations of drug use by five of Australia's elite cyclists has found that there is insufficient evidence for any charges to be laid.

Banned rider Mark French had accused team-mates Graeme Brown, Jobie Dajka, Sean Eadie, Shane Kelly and Brett Lancaster of using his room at the Australian Institute of Sport in Adelaide as a 'shooting gallery' to inject illegal substances.

Not really Wellard. What sparked it off was David Millar's admission that he's taken EPO three times.

At least he had the balls to come clean about it.

I disagree, it's not that bad. Especially not during one of the classics or in any uphill stages in the Tour.
Now a tennis match, that's just plain torture.
