No, sweetie. Mine was one of the Grey-Hooded Fancy Rat variety. He was white with grey on his head and paws and a grey stripe down his back. Kind of like the markings of a Siamese cat, but not quite. He was very affectionate and very intelligent. He died in my arms at about two years old of cardiomyopathy (water in the periocardial sac around the heart).

The vet told me he sees it quite a bit in rats that are inbred and Jacob probably was as I rescued him from being snake fodder.
