Do the voice sets for BGII work for IWD and IWD2?

To make BG2 soundsets, you save the file as this: 'name of soundset''letter, telling the engine which type of sound it is'. Eg. 'minsca' is Minsc's battlecry. In IWD, the letters are replaced by numbers, so you would have to rename the files but it should work as long as you know which letters/numbers signify which type of sound it is.
For an explanation of what letters are associated with which sounds in BG2, visit here. For an explanation of what numbers are associated with which sounds in IWD, visit..... Damn, I can't find a site but if you downloaded an soundset you could work it out. Hopefully that's not too confusing, it's just a matter of renaming the .wav files EDIT: Great name, BTW [ 05-01-2004, 09:16 AM: Message edited by: Jaradu ] |

Thanks, Jaredu. Makes perfect sense! Though it may take a while to figure out the IWD notation.
