I think that can be done with Shadowkeeper, there is a spell that increase the number of spells you cast per round I think. But legitly in game, only certain items like the Venca Robe, Amulet of Power have spell speed factors.

thanks guys!!!

And i know that spell, its Daer'Ragh's Aura Cleaning
it only lasts for 12 secs tho
so i was thinkin a little something more permanent.
and i have the robes of vecna and amulet of power, and thats all fine and dandy,
but its the wait to cast another spell that really 'rubs me the wrong way'.

It seems clerics have less of a wait between spells. Does it speed up with levels?

Welcome. Use the small time span for one or two melee attacks - your enemies will have concentrated on your tanks, so there will be less danger for your mage. I know, itīs not the kind of hint you awaited, but itīs the way I usually do it and itīs worked pretty well, so far.

A agree, I usually attack with a sling or darts in between casting spells.
There are a couple of items that reduce casting speed though...

Amulet of Power - which decreases casting time by 1, not available until ch3
Robe of Vecna - decreases casting time by 4 (very useful indeed!), from one of the merchants on the bonus CD, which if you haven't already got can be dl here...

It's about half way down the page & is only a 1k zip file, so will dl quickly even on the slowest connection.
