One thing this board does is to update your reading list -- there are a lot of characters and races that I need to learn more about

Haven´t you played Baldur´s gate Bungleau? You´ll get to see some drows in that series. And those are good games two, both of them

I started playing BG a couple of years ago, but never got into it completely. That was around the time I decided I could only know so many gaming systems... I may get back into it soon, depending on how things go.
I'm familiar with Drow elves from my RPG gaming days. Ol' Drizz't is apparently a character in someone's world, and that's what I'm referring to. Or is he in BG? If that's the case, I'll consider getting back into it sooner.

Bungleau,
If you do get back into Baldurs Gate, get Tales of the Sword Coast & Throne of Bhaal. They add more depth to the story & make the game more challenging. Drizzt is a good drow elf. Generally they are evil. |

And IIRC the world Baldur´s gate takes place on is from the "Drizzt something something" book series. Not sure about that though

I have BG and Tales of the Sword Coast. Combat was too challenging (dare I admit it), and I wasn't knowledgeable enough. I'll probably get back into it after Missy finishes her work, or if some of the other things I'm doing slow down.
Onward...
