Larry takes the rope and ties one end of it to the hilt of Nightblade. He looks close at the area on the other side until he can barely see a notch in the rocks that make up the wall on the other side. Grinning at Mistral, he focuses on the crevice, while muttering...something about Isabeau then sends Nightblade screaming off to bury herself into the notch. Taking Mistral by the waist, Larry holds his end of the rope with his left hand, then jumps off the edge. They fall down and toward the opposite ravine wall. Larry extended his feet out to stop the impact, then having Spree hold onto his body with both hands, began to climb hand over hand up the rope.
Once he got to the top, he asks Mistral to climb on up the wall, as shse readily does. Larry next pulls himself up, releases Nightblade from her creveice, unties the knot, and hands it back to Mistral. "Nothing can stop a man and his blade!" Come on, let's get going before something crawls out of that ravine deciding it's hungry." ooc...I need more work on my expository writing, don't I? I do enjoy the opportunity to see a problem, and creatively come up with a solution. The ravine had me baffled, so I had to break the rules a bit with my sword of many wonders...but I was at least able to write it creatively. It is challenging to my wits and very fun. Thank you for inquiring. The truth is...I am pretty much asleep already. My eyes are aching from the torture I am putting them through, as well as my senses are handicapped through my lack of alertness... in shorter words...I am sleepy, and may need to go on to bed, being able to do less posting in the morning, but more meaningful ones ... What say ye? |

Eagerly, she runs down the left path hoping to locate some new clues. But her search only results in the following items, which she hands to Larry: 20 arrow of lightning, 20 arrows of biting, 20 arrows or fire and a composite bow + 2.
She then hurries down the right path, but again... ~ "It's a dead end." ~ She sighs, returning to him. Together, they tread carefully until they reach a massive boulder obstructing their path ahead. Out of the boulder juts out the bust of a lady. ~"What do you think we should do?" ~ She turns questioningly to Larry ~ (ooc: Your writing is fine, stop worrying so much ) |

Looking at Mistral for her question, he shrugs and says:
"Maybe cover them up? Or...hey ...Where is that necklace thing you found? What if we placed it around the boulder, as if hanging it on a woman's neck? Do you think it has magical properties"? |

Hey look! I am Anubis, with a microphone!
Yeah...if you want to postpone the entire game until tommorow night about this same time...(or a few hours earlier), it would be great. I will post tommorow exactly when I will be around, and you can check up on my posts to see what is going on. Post more story if you like, to give me something to work on. Spree's side of the story should be fine, for the fact that Kaz is to meet up with her...and explain our whereabouts. |

(ooc: Just so you can go to bed feeling extra happy... don't respond after this until you're really in the mood to do so)
Nodding her agreement, she pulls out the amulet and gently places it around the figurine's neck. There is a deafening sound and the earth begins to tremble... the boulder splits apart to reveal a further passage ahead. Excitement grips her and she grins at Larry ~ "You're fantastic!" ~ |

Caught again in the whirlwind of emotions spiralling within her being, her thoughts run wild as she reaches to stroke the sides of his face gently ~ What a tremendous quake I'm undergoing...why, I practically feel the ground shaking...~ She decides to indulge in her curiousity and opens her eyes for once. Seeing the expression on Larry's face, she smiles blissfully and glances casually out of the corner of her right eye...
With a cry, she jerks free of the embrace and hauls him towards the revealed route as the other end of the ravine collapses. Turning to Larry, she nods at his look of alarm and voices the inevitable ~ "Yes, the entrance is sealed. No one will be able to come in to find us. Not Kaz, not Deiter and not Spree. There's no turning back now..." ~ They gaze at each other for a moment before heading northwards, up the passage. [This message has been edited by mistral4543 (edited 10-27-2001).] |
