640x480 with a 17 inch monitor.
I have to run it like that because my eyes don't work like they should and with this resolution, i don't have to strain them.

1024x768, 85hz on a 15"
I'm waiting to get a 21" Sony, so I'll be able to bump it up to a higher res. soon.

[/QUOTE]You better believe it, my mom has a computer with a 13" (!) monitor and the adapter is incapable of more than 640x480. I feel like I'm in a closet when I'm helping her out with something...I keep prodding them to get a better monitor, but no luck so far.

I have it on 800x600 on the computer I'm internetting on (my dad's) On my own it's currently 1280x1024. Smaller icons are better than those from 800x600

I technically have 1600x1024.
It is a real pain finding backgrounds that work on that. I have the 22" cinema display (widescreen). Then again... there aren't a lot of mac users on this board.

I go with the 800x600 on my 15" monitor because I can easily see/read everything while tipped back in my chair with the keyboard in my lap and my feet up on the desk LOL.
I haven't a clue what the refresh rate is, but I never suffer any adverse effects from looking at the monitor unless I spend 3 days straight or longer with a game...then the images are burned into my retinas and I can still see them when I close my eyes. Speaking of which, I haven't played a game since Wizardry 8 was released. I need to go game shopping or go dig through KHaN's and see what he has to play. |
