does this sound familiar to anyone: When you go to rest, the game spits you out as soon as you hit the button? Well its happening to me. One minute I am in the Five Flagons and the next I'm staring at my windows default wallpaper. I've gone through the game once before without any problems, then I added ToB and started over. I dont know if the expansion has anything to do with it.
I reinstalled it and that worked for a little while but now its back to its old tricks again. It is mainly in Inns where I have the problem although it does happen outside or in dungeons as well. Can anyone help me? |

Welcome to the Ironworks Forums, Circus box.
Have you patched your game? If you do not have ToB installed, get the Official SoA Patch first, then get the Baldurdash SoA Fixpack v3.61. If you do have ToB installed, get the Official ToB Patch first, then get the Baldurdash ToB Fixpack v1.12. |

Ok, I have taken your advice and patched my game. Alas, the problem remains. It really is quite frustrating. I havnt been able to get anywhere except on the off chance that the rest button works when I'm in a dungeon or outside. Im still on the Bridge District Murder sub-quest. I really would like to see the Watchers Keep.
Does anyone else know something that I could try short of buying a new computer? |

Hm. I'm assuming you haven't installed mods or anything like that, correct?

Your "Rest in Inn" movie file may be corrupted--try reinstalling. If that doesn't work, the CD itself might be scratched, and you may have to reinstall using someone else's discs.
