The same way you do if you try to count how many reflections of you there are in two adjacent mirrors. But then, i can't possibly count all of me because i don't acually exist. But then again, non-existance does not exist. Therefore i must simultaneously exist and non-exist simultaneously. I think therefore i possibly are. Mainframes the world over will go into meltdown trying to process that.

Hmmm. A hard one Gromnir. Well, since I can’t prove I exist I think I’ll leave it to your imagination.

No, none of 'us' exist. We are phantoms, created by your own creative intellect. All that you perceive around you is the resultant influx of your consciousness inventing a fantasy world. This message is a reminder of your illusary state from your subconscious, an involuntary spasm of reality from a network world of fantasy. There can be no surprises as anything and everything in the world that you view comes directly from your own psyche experiencing itself subjectively. You need not wake up, as you are already aware of yourself and the multiverse which you have created. You are more than you know you are. You are your own god.

Or if they do something you desperately do not want them to, or don't do something you desperately DO want them to do.

I'm pretty sure I exit. At least that's what the signs keep telling me.
I'm pretty, sure. I exit.

Well, it's possible I could exits. Course it's possible I am merely experiencing the dreams of a brain in a vat. Whatever. I hate Descartes because trying to answer this question should only be done once in human history. It's a question that, in the end, makes you throw up your hands or do what General Swartzkoff calls the Iraqi salute (shrug).
In the end, on the off chance you do exist, I suggest you act according to the principle that you in fact do exist. What do you care if you are simply a brain in a vat, a dream of a god, or otherwise? Thinking outside of your perception is great - just don't remember to live within your perception. And, it is true - if you think, you *do* exist. Maybe not in the form you're perceiving, but you do exist. |
