I found that Parry can be used in two ways:
1. to draw someone's fire while someone else sneak attacks him 1. Against weak opponents, since you can counterattack. If you are playing solo against a significantly tougher opponent, it's the equivalent of holding your weapons out ineffectually while someone goes to town on you - you won't be able to counterattack them, and if you're not attacking, you can't reduce his HP to zero, which is the name of the game. |

parry is like memnoch said, weak in single player yet good in multi but thats about it. why make yourself the target?
and i think the other most useless skill point to waste time into is the one for spell identifing.do i care what the hell they are trying to cast on me? no.i worry if the enemy is going to disarm me or knock me down thats why i put 22 points into disipline.i put a point into taunt just cause im using the high strung evangelist voice. always good for a few laughs.and im curious what does power attaack do? i turn it on but does it really increase your damage you deal or what?what is its point. |

power attack = +5 damage, -5 attack
improved power attack = +10 damge, -10 attack they dont seem worth it for me...i got a fighter to lvl10, and it seems like i hit for a lot more, but miss a lot more too, so it does about the same damage as if you used a normal attack my vote goes to dont use them |

Don't know the mechanics of it, but I've noticed my Half Orc Barbarian seems to take less damage, the more points I put into it.

and about parry...with a high dex, +4 from improved parry, +6 parry gloves, and +3 from skill focus in parry gives you a pretty hefty bonus
this seems like a very good tanking character for multiplayer, and you should get a lot more counterattacks in with that points in it. |
