I have the same problem.... I guess it's because we want to test and have the BEST party to the end of the game.... why? maybe to export it to Throne of Bhaal?

I did the same thing with BG1, and I ashamadly admit that I have yet to finish BG2...
That makes me a very low person

I have played through with two different PCs, but I always find myself drawn to another class, and I just keep playing...
its like - "Oh, I'll just test this character out" - - - "Hey this is pretty good" - - - "Damn, now I am further than my previous character..."
