That's what I'm asking, as I've decided such a life is for me.

Out of those, VB Script is probably the easiest, but unless you go to the harder levels of it, you can`t do all that much...

Code language for what? I have never heard of those code systems, but what are they for? Lawnmower? Computer? Space Shuttle? Garden Hose? Internet? Vacuum Cleaner? I think I need more details here, Oblivion.

I program in IDL.pvwave. It's a language for scientists who don't want to learn how to program. Well, that and it's optimised for doing work with large, excuse me, hugely massive volumes of data. It's really easy to learn.

I like Shell scripting which is basicly C-like...sort of. But for simplicity and low brain power requirements VB would have to be easiest.

C++.

BASIC was always far to verbose, pascal is a pain in the neck, anything that runs interpreted is a waste of time. C++ is admittedly harder that plain C but then it will run a plain C program so the point is irrelevant.

C++ supposedly has 90% of the efficiency of assembler, but assembler is beyond painful so I dont use it, at all.

It all depends on what you want to do with it though.

Perl is also a lovely language.

C++ is the old standard though. And it's also a good language. My Comp Sci friends say that a language is good if it can be written in itself. If that makes any sense.
