Either drink plenty of milk to keep your calcium levels up and excercise with caution, or log onto IW and never leave your computer again.

I guess they are trying to represent a stress fracture of the tibia and fibula, but it doesn't look at all real to me. Anyone with a fracture like that would be on the ground writhing in agony.

His face doesn't look agonized enough. I'd guess a fake.

*edit* Also, it's on a website claiming to be the "Largest Source of Internet Humour". Link here.

I think it might take a few seconds before he feels the pain - soon he will scream like he is on the verge of a scientific breakthrough. hehe

Possibly fake, but slim chance its real.

When, a sudden "surge" of pain is felt, within milliseconds the central nervous system places the whole body into shock, therefore, he would not feel pain, just a small pin-prick.

He would however, fall straight over, and be in agony a couple of hours later (as soon as the shock wears off), and then he best pray for some large shots of morphine....

And with the camera, it might just be pure luck that the photographer took the photo at that exact point...stranger co-incedences have happened!

I'd say it's more than milliseconds. When I broke my leg, it took at least seconds for the pain to stop. Although I broke a much smaller bone. But that should've caused less pain and not more.

Well, I'm not a doctor and have no relation to the medical profession.

But, I thought that it worked around milliseconds. You will feel pain, and when I said "pinprick" I was probably playing it down a bit.

I remember, when I was 14 or so, I fell over and smashed the back of my head open in a three way split. I got straight up, hadnt felt a thing, and I looked down and the whole of my t-shirt was stained red. I lost 40% of my blood that day....
