Don't worry about it, Larry. When I was 5, I inhaled a wasp. Look at how great I turned out..[hmm, maybe that's not a good example.]
No worries, though. If she puked it up, it means she's ok. Still take her to see a doc, just not to an ER. [ 09-22-2002, 08:11 PM: Message edited by: True_Moose ]

Bring her to a doctor, Larry. That's what I would do.

She should be OK Larry since she chucked it back up. Most of that dust you mention on moths was probably washed out as well. She'll be OK

It's no big deal, Larry.
Playing softball, rounding second, a friend of mine inhaled a moth. Just grossed him out. No harm done. Probably the only reason she vomited was a gag reflex from unexpectedly swallowing something. They definetly are poisonous or anything. Believe me - she's probably swallowed much worse when you weren't looking. Seriously, it hasn't hurt anything. And the 'dust' on them is actually a part of the moth. If it gets rubbed off, they can't fly. I can't remember what the substance is called, but it allows them to fly and is not like dust from the corners of your house or anything. Rest easy, she'll be fine, hon.

Hell by the time she's 18 she'll have eaten 50 pounds of bugs. The USDA has a permisable limit on the amount of bugs and bug parts that can be in certain foods. Also rat and mice droppings. Some bugs may be dangerous because they carry illnesses.

Look at it this way - it's building up the immune system. Yep - all those mudpies and worms and stuff we ate as kids served a useful purpose (certainly made my brother happy LOL)
