You need to buy it. HOW = Heart of Winter. HOW is the expansion game put out by Black Isle studios, and it simply installs over IWD effectively upgrading IWD and patching it as well. It provides new areas to explore and new items. Check out your local computer store, electronic boutique online, etc or try ordering it direct from the interplay online store (provided you are located in the USA - the IP online store will not ship outside of the US.)

Is HOW any good? I like this game a lot, and i want to know if it's worth upgrading, or just buying one of the baldurs series.

look around for a bundled package of BG2 and Heart of winter. Try checking out the Interplay on-line store. I don't remember whether the bundle was for BG2:SOA or BG2:TOB.

HOW is very good -- it adds some nice features to the original game such as new spells, items and better screen resoloution options, and the adventure itself is well done. There is also an additional free expansion, Trials of the Luremaster you can download once you have HOW installed.

I second Micah on the idea of trying to find it bundled with one of the BG series games. Otherwise you might want to look around for a used copy.

There is also an expansion to the expansion, called Trials of the Luremaster. It is a FREE (albeit huge download - about 70+ MB), and you need HOW installed or it won't work.
Trials adds an interesting dungeon to explore, somewhat akin to Durlag's Tower in BG & Watcher's Keep in BG2.
IIRC this expansion expansion can be obtained from Interplay's website.

I DO hope you're not suggesting the Warez site or something similiar. As far as I know HOW is STILL being sold retail and what you're suggesting seems to border on piracy. tsk tsk
