1.6 Mbit down/92 Kbit Up at the moment.
This is on Cable. I've seen it drop to modem speed at peek trafic times. Memsy ... on these insane speeds we Yanks have .... you know Americans, everything HAS to be bigger, faster, louder ! [img]tongue.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/biglaugh.gif[/img] Seriously though, the best way to determine your "speed" is between you and your provider. DSL is "gauranteed" bandwidth, cable isn't. Once you leave your provider's network, all bets are off, cuz then you deal with the distant end's bandwidth as well. Plus, for everone outside of North America trying to connect to Continental US sites, there are only so many pipes, and they aren't as interconnected as the ones Stateside. You would see better rates locally though, and we'd have the "slower" connect times.
