Sound problems.

Hey all, long time no see.

Well, after getting a new computer I have re-installed BG2 (as well as BG1 and both expansions), BGTutu and a boatload of WeiDU mods.

Everything seems to be working fluidly, except the sound.

Following sounds work:

All dialogue (thankfully)
All music
All ambient SFX
All inventory-related sounds
All menu- and button-related sounds

Following sounds does not work:

All combat-related sounds except character pain grunts. All monster sounds.
All spell-casting and spell-related sounds except those which are menu-related.
All footsteps.

I have not installed any mod which changes any of these sound groups, so I wonder what is wrong.

I run the game on a WindowsXP box with a Soundblaster Audigy soundcard.

This may sound like stating the obvious.

But, have you checked the sound options under "Options"? They allow you to change such things as footsteps etc.

Yup, everything is on, according to BGconfig.
