Ray Bradbury
RIP Ray Bradbury. I actually thought he had died years ago. He wrote some of the first Sci-fi I read. Makes me want to Kindle up The Martion Chronicles. I do hope he saw this video(language warnig on video)

Re: Ray Bradbury
RIP Ray Bradbury.
I was never sure whether he should have been labelled a Sci-fi author. His writing was unique and hard to classify to any genre. Not a point worth arguing over. I first read him as I was discovering Sci-fi and devouring books by Clarke, Asimov, Simak, Sturgeon and many others. I am just glad that his books were always found in the Sci-fi section of bookshops or I may (to my everlasting loss) have just ignored him. My own preference was always for the short stories. I will now go and dig out The Illustrated Man and The October Country and re-read them. |
