Okies then... Crashes in the last stage, right? How about the one in which Dzamolidine Abduzjaparov literally crashed and was carried over the finish line on a brancard?
..Even though I don't think that's the one either... Drat, my memory is a sieve.
All i can remember is that the cop in question immediately got fired afterwards. Ring any bells now ?

Well, the Jalabert/Nelissen incident was caused by a police officer with a camera as well... But I'm vaguely starting to recall the event you're describing, and it's indeed a different case... It'll probably all come back to me tomorrow I think...

Wouldn't be wise if that was the case... Had glandular earlier this year. So I don't do drugs or alcohol, and with good reason... Not that I did any drugs or was much of a beer drinker before my illness either, but I really don't want to risk my still fickle health ...

Although I think he ought to train harder and get going on those mountains! Just a bit of stamina and endurance training should do it I think . And I think another Aussie boy hmm Cadel Evans? did good in the Tour of Italy, I think he should do okay too .

LOL as an aside, I read today that Robbie McEwen named his son Ewan
I watched the prologue. Looks like O'Grady has made too many visits to the pie shop!

I expected a bit more from Bradley McGee as well... He trained very intensively on this circuit, but I guess it wasn't enough. I think the small climb in it broke him up a bit, though... He was one of my personal candidates to win the prologue, but awg, he still ended 11th... Still not that bad.

Time to bring this one back to the top, close to the point in the Tour de France where the rankings get interesting... Anyone here still following it? The Aussie supremacy? The Dutch coup on the French National Holiday?

Yeah, that was nice, but in the end only the winner of the whole tour will be remembered !

I mean, I take it you can still remember the times other Dutchies won stages in the past few years? Van Bon? Dekker? Voskamp? Boogerd? Blijlevens? And someone in Spain will mainly remember the Spanish victories... Unless you have a more than average interest in the Tour, of course.
