They evidently didn't research the toolset very well. If they couldn't put a few town people around the scene of the accident.

However, getting an actual crowd to do what you want them to without bumping into eachother, getting stuck, forgetting their instructions, slowing the server and looking like they are more than a dozen lost individuals can be very tricky. |

I think that depends on how you implement the crowd. You can have them all standing around staring, with a minor script to return to staring after a dialog. The thing is, with the lack of knowledge about the toolset being displayed, it's no wonder they couldn't figure it out. I wonder if I should offer to fix it for them. I'm not an expert in it, but I think I could build a module for that pretty easy.

I noticed that too there problem seems simple, but yet they manage to construct more complex dialogues/reactions based on the students responses, and implementing and creating modern day textures clothing, even a train wreck how they could not figure out the later is beyond me. I guess it is one of those simple things they just could not figure out, one of those things that we kick ourselves for after someone tells us because the answer is so easy, I have been there before. However the main point of the article is that the toolset has practical applications other than what we normally use it for, gaming. They use it to teach journalist to gather information without pissing people off so the big thing here is that.

It's been used for other educational purposes as well. I can't find the info now, might have been at Bioware, but some schools in Canada were using it for government type classes I believe.

lol, I love how they called a simple thing like the NPC's being hostile to players "a bug", setting aside any blame on them and pushing it on the game just because they couldn't figure out how to modify behaviour or factions.
