I have not gotten a chance to buy or play NWN but if I correct it uses 3rd edition rules right? Can you build Earth/Water/Fire/&Air Gensais?

Not as a PC if you mean that.

There are Earth Water Fire and Air elementals in the game (you can summon them) but I'm not sure what gensais are, never heard of them but my p&p dm seems to have a limited selection of monsters to throw at us.

In D&D 3rd edition rules a charecter you could build could be elemental gensais. Basically your half human and half element.

Right, genesais... Genesai? Genesai..s...es.eseses... Whatever. They have elemental blood. You can't get them in the OC, but there are mods that allow certain subraces... I haven't seen genesai, however. Half-celestials are out there.
It would be simple to sort of make a subrace like that by creating a ring in the toolset that grants the abilities conveyed by the race. After that it's a simple matter of character creation, coloring, and things like that.

Right. So I guess the rules arn't to the T w/3ad&d rules right? The gensais are new charecters they came out with along with Teiflings. I should just buy the game HUH?

It's not in any expansion. You cannot play a genesai as a PC race unless you have a hakpak (like a mod). The hakpak's been done already. On the vault FYI.

P.s. You could avoid using a hakpak, and instead use a monster appearance such as a water elemental or an azher and then call it a genesai....

Except that genesai don't look like elementals, they look more... or *less*... like humanoids. I suggest you find a good body type and use creative coloring.

There are no subraces available at all in NWN, but as people have mentioned before, they're possible to create using the toolset.

That's why I suggested the Azher. Usually they have the upper torso of a humanoid and the lower torso of their element. Like genies really...
