Argh!
Bloody Gullykin dungeons, they're so f***ing narrow, its impossible to navigate round them! I was just fighting up front of my party and Imoen wondered of, trying to get to her assigned psoition, and just bimbled into a room where a bunch of Kobold commandos had regenerated. By the time I noticed she was taking damage she was dead! I mean, its a problem with the way the party moves but surely, having a dungeon thats only really wide enough for one person, shouldn't someone have noticed when then were QA it? C'mon, thats just, its just, argh, annoying. What annoys me more is I reloaded from the autosave, wnet through and the same thing happened again. Ok, so I noticed quickly this time but Imoen still took 9 points of uncalled for damage. *wipes brow, takes deep breath, pours glass of wine, gets bowl of olives* Right: I'm off to kick some serious kobold butt! ------------------ Fear? I've had similiar problems and found that the best way to deal with it is to change party formation... to the single file S shaped one with the arrows... it basically makes each party member follow the person ahead of them at a distance with only the first person trying to get to where you click. The formation for those narrow dungeons

Althoug I agree, the narrow dungeons are very annoying, but they are realistic. And Asterix is right, combat them using that formation.

Funnily enough, that was the formation I was using. I haven't got a clue why Imoen was wondering off like that. Huh, fickle thats what she is.
And whilst I know what you mean 'bout dungeons like that being realistic (and, lets face it, they are) if it were PnP, you can be damn sure it wouldn't happen. Ah well, after my rant I had the aforementioned glass of wine and olives and did indeed reek havoc most mighty 'mongst the kobolds. Even as I type, my party are snuggly resting in Feldposts Inn, ready to clear out the last lot of bandits afore I go to Baldurs Gate itself. Thinking on it, the effect on a kid who's been raised in seclusion of going to a big city for the first time ever in their life must be quite dramatic... Apologies, stopped ranting, started rambling: OK, so maybe I had more than just one glass of wine... ------------------ Fear? I know not the meaning of the word. If u put a tank up front with archers behind him in the narrow corridor u can take tough enemies one at a time...it has some advantages ;(
