Orb of Clarity.. WTF?

I went to the gypsies like the Wizard Guild told me to for the orb of clarity... The head gypsy wont talk about it tho, everything I ask she says I need to ask fate, and nothing about the orb is a conversation choice...The only way I can get it is to kill her, but I don't really want to. Any advice?

Type in "Orb of Clarity" in the text box when you're in talk mode. She'll send you on a quest to get the Serpent Wand from the Serpent Temple (which you'll need to do anyway, so you might as well).

You can, of course, kill her for it, or have a high-level pickpocket character pickpocket her (I don't know if that works, just conjecture), but if you kill her, you miss out on the loot downstairs which she opens up if you complete her quest. There's at least 1 or 2 ankhs in there, along with several other goodies.

Just to put it in perspective, I was tempted to "off" her mainly because I found her voice and circular speech pattern extremely aggravating. Along with Erathsmedore, I will gain much delight in doing her in the 2nd time around!

But of course! My party will be bloodthirsty and cruel, but they won't be stupid!

If only they could kill the shopkeepers with ridiculous, hand motion, talking. I blow my nose at them, like that silly Arthur King and his English k-nigets.

(Owww, must my holygrailitis kicking in.)
