Hey Guys,

SOme of you may ahve seen my latest post on a new PC i'm getting.

Now I'm also in the market for a laptop for work and gaming while I'm travelling.

I found this on EBAY tonight

Yes, buy buy buy!

The only thing to be aware of is that Alienware laptops are known to have had dodgy batteries.

Oh, and obviously don't bid until the last minute.

This is as good as a laptop can get. And about Alienwares having dodgy batteries, I think that's behind them now.

Hmmmm strange thing is that the laptop (with 5 hours to go) has been removed by Ebay.

Hmmm I neveplaced a bid (infact it had zero bids) but I was just checking out the sellers history. Turns out he only usually buys model cars and has never sold anything via Ebay. Also he hasn't been a registered member since December.

Looks like their was something fishy and Ebay has taken action.

Damn that was a sweet price for a sweet laptop!

Looks like it was a scam, then, and you escaped unscathed. I'm on the lookout for electronic drums and equipment on ebay all the time, and a few helpful posters there have warned about scam artists. Checking to see what other kinds of stuff they sell is a good clue... as is looking at feedback levels and the time they've been around.

Sorry it turned out to be just a dream
