What is your favorite type of nut (other than your silly uncle or your best friend!) you know, the kind that come in shells that you crack open and eat the inside of.

Putting in my own vote (doh!) for pistachios.
I like them all but those seem to be the most "addictive" and I can eat them until I'm full. (Walnuts and pecans burn my tongue after a while )
Down in Mexico they have pin'on nuts too...very tiny but very sweet. More trouble than they are worth if someone hasn't already shelled them They're great at keeping little kids busy though!
If I ever get the opportunity to try a "borrelnootjes", Johnny, I will...maybe I already have? lol. We'll have to find out what they are in English. Are they naturally spicy or made to be?

they come in different flavours, you got them naturel, special mix, poesta, brasil, etc. and they keep coming up with new flavours. My fav is poesta, if you eat those, be sure you have a large glass off cold coke within reach.

let me rephrase that, it's regular peanuts with a "spicy jacket", maybe that rings a bell minno ? Oh, and i forgot "katjang pedis", those are a kind of peanuts from indonesia. It's like putting a chilipepper in your mouth, but if you like it hot, like me, that shouldn't be a problem.

Ah yes, they do things like that with peanuts here...honey roasted, hot & spicy...I like the honey roasted ones but I leave the hot & spicy side of food to the Mexican dishes that I eat and even then I like those just a little hotter than mild.

I'm allergic to nuts! They give me a migraine. I like them though, especially Cashews!
