Has anyone been to the Calgary Stampede and if so what did you think about it. I would like know if you have heard about it. Because after all it is the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth.

 Yes...I've been to the stampede in the past. But the last time was over 15 years ago! It was a great time...I wonder about its fame in other areas... Lots of Texan's on this board... Are any of you Texan's rodeo lovers? Is there a lot of rodeo's in Texas? Have you heard of the Calgary Stampede?

I know they have heard about the Calgary Stampede in Hawaii because when a friend of mine went there. They visited Planet Hollywood and there was several poster from the Calgary Stampede there.

I've heard of the Stampede, one of my general contractors I work for went there last year. He said it was great fun! Also isnt the Stampede to name of the football team in the CFL? Oh well happy stampeding!

Yes, I've heard of the Calgary Stampede, I spent 4 years in Ellensburg, Wa., home of the Ellensburg Rodeo. I haven't even been to Calgary. We used to cross the border and go to Penticton (sp?) BC.

LOL Calgary Stampede thats funny cause in Texas there is a Amature Hockey team named the stampede. And there is alot of rodeos in texas and there is alot of hockey in Canada....just seems funny to me..only me?

It is funny Grand-Ranger.
Here is some of the things that happen at the Calgary Stampede. The rodeo portion of it is shown on TV. There is exhibits, live bands, a midway, a casino, food court with food from around the world. There is a live studio set-up to do news casts from. Gun fights and at the closing for the night there is a large fireworks display. And when it is the last day of the Stampede the final fireworks show they use all of the remaining fireworks in the show. ------------------ Vampire Lord I am your Lord. I dine on the Best.
