Vale of shadow priestess

I need to find the priestess to finish a quest, Im guessing im looking in the right area of the vale, lower centre cave with no flames. Yet I can not find her. Is there a door or something I can not find? Have I already killed her? can i finish the quest without her?

If you had killed her you wouldve known... you're probably looking in the wrong cave or youre there too early. The priestess will only appear after you spoken to Kresslack (though I guess you did that already)

It's in the cave where there where yetis. Go to the statue in the centre of the map. go to the south western part of that area, follow the narrow passage to the cave. Here is a map for clearer instruction (Gamebanshee). It is at location 3

After killing her be sure to speak to the bartender back at Kuldahar.

Now it's been a very long time since I played IWD, but if I recall correctly, you have to agree to deal with the priestess in the dialogue options with whoever it is who asks you to do it (I told you it was a long time since I'd played!) - if you just say you'll think about it, she won't appear in the cave. Hopefully someone who remembers the name of the guy (I think it's a spirit of someone!) will come along and clarify who you have to speak to.

Hope that works wellard, iirc that should sort it out.

That was one bit of the game that annoyed me - I mean technically if you've said you'll think about it, maybe it's because you want to hear her side of the story before deciding? (Even if she attacked on sight your characters wouldn't know she was going to do that, so may not have made up their minds about what to do!) And if she's not even there then you can't do that. Only a minor point (in the same way buildings in NWN with no doors bug me - I mean what the heck is the point in a building with no doors? I'm no architect but even I can see that's daft!), but it detracts from the Role Playing I feel - not that there's a huge amount of that in IWD anyway.

yeah it was annoying, because i'm cautious of giving my word to do something, even in roleplay i feel obliged to follow through my promises.
