Interesting Article!!!

WASHINGTON (AP) -- When the Justice Department obtained two videos suggesting terrorists had cased Las Vegas casinos, the discussions didn't center on public alerts or heightened security. Rather, authorities worried about the effects on tourism and the casinos' legal liabilities, internal memos show.

Another memo states the casinos didn't want to see the footage for fear it would make them more likely to be held liable in civil court if an attack occurred.

Very interesting. They are afraid to see information that could save thousands because they are afraid they will face law suits if they viewed information and didn't do anything quick enough to stop something from happening. Such logic dooms us. They fear the lawyers more than the terrorist, or they prefer to have a grenade stuffed up there bottom than face a law suit.

A load of BS. Vegas took 9/11 very seriously. Just try leaving an unattended car on the strip -- just try. Every building on the strip has its OWN police, plus the Nevada state troopers and the local PD are not to be messed with. Inside casinos, you can leave your purse lying around and it won't go anywhere most of the time. If it does, you can always use the security tapes to identify the theif. Watch a limo pull up to a hotel -- Standard Proceedure includes popping the trunk and having a walk around by security.

Out of all the major US targets, Vegas is one I would fear the least having a major catastrophe. And, so what if they didn't want to watch a bunch of Al Queda tourist tapes.

Now, if you really want to bitch about something, look to the ports on the West Coast, the wide open subway systems in several cities, and the bus systems.
