I'll probably use like 2 quests or so... if I ever figure out how to use quests, that is

I'm guessing that I'll probably use at least 1 per NPC and/or building that PCs can interact with. I also plan on having a few special items.

The great thing, Uatu, is that once others of us start adding in quests, you will have ready made examples to look at for your two quests.

...which will make it seem even better and more significant when you know what you're doing.

That's true... But for now, I will remain in my already-comfortable world of drawing pictures and inputing text instead!

Does that mean you are not working on a design?

Gulp!

Well, of course, I am always sort of working on my design - my art is always something that will eventually find its way into my design, after all - but my goals are more vague than concrete

Regarding my ward, that means that I am mostly working on walls/NPCs to use for my part of the city. (I have done a bit of map-making, too - no quests/events yet, though! I do plan to add them, of course, but I need more graphics, first!)

Well, Uatu, I will never argue with you doing more art for the game.

The great thing about quests and how they work in DC means that you can add them to your design later, after you've already done other events, even in the same cells.

As for our respective wards, I think every should send me a version after they've gotten a footprint of sorts done. I don't mean as elaborate as mine, just something to show the general flow of things. I especially like to know where people are connecting to other wards as soon as possible. It's not necessary for the completion of The City at this point, but I just want to know.

One thing I just noticed when starting my layout - if you make a door at the top, the door appears at the bottom, too! (I think I avoided this by always not putting anything in any of the corners until now.)

So... If I put a door to Dinonykos's ward (for example), I also get a door in the other direction that I don't want (yet)... What to do?

(Anyway, I think my general order is: art, then text and quests )

To have DC not do this, go to Mode -> Editor Options and uncheck the box next to have wall appear on both sides (third one down). You can also just place the wall using the 3D window and left, front, right - the wall is only placed on one-side.
