OK, I have now wasted a few hours of my life trying to get out of the crypt...I have killed the scabban guy, found the key, taken the oath, and cleared the tomb...for the life of me I can't get out of the crypt. I have looked everywhere trying to get out with no luck.
also, what does the button in the room with the chains on the wall do? third, how do you climb down ladders w/o falling. I visited the toad villiage and evertime I try to climb down the ladders I fall? Help? ! ? ! |

Look underwater near the northeastern grate in the flooded tombs area. There's a lever on the left wall which will open that grate which leads back to Rethpian's area.

Welcome to the board, NE14T!!!
Hope you have escaped the crypt by now! The traditional method of descending ladders in W&W is the "fall and splat" method - they were not really well implemented in the game BUT if you are determined to learn how to climb down safely, you might check the BEST TIPS thread - Adam (I believe) posted a note on one technique that might work for you as well! Personally, I like the "fall and splat" method! Wyv |

Thanks to all who replied!! I made it out of the crypt!! Woohoo!!!
I was thinking I should look underwater, but then I thought that the game wasn't that sneaky(not that that is really sneaky).... I am off to practice my ladder descending....and....I have gotten really good at the fall splat method.... |

Heh, finding levers and keyholes can be REALLY difficult in the game. Personally, I find the pirit eye spell pretty darn useful!
