Recently I decided to venture into Solstheim to check out the expansion which sets the first challenge of finding out from the guards at the fort who the trouble makers are. I tried to talk to all the guards but all of them basically said piss off but in a nice way. The fact they are always moving around does not help but any would be great. I tried to use voice of the emperor on the guards who had names but still they blancked me. Please help so I can put my poor rejected character's mind at rest. Danke!

You'll need to find the person who'll give you some quests. He is in one of the buildings. Do that and soon the people there will like you.

Yeah I spoke to the mad captain but I am still blancked. Should I reload the game from before I asked for the quest and try agian? Or is there one specific guard who will talk to you?

talk to captain -> talk to one of the guard any unnamed guard will do -> they'll mention booze -> go back to the captain's room and find some greef -> give that to the guard....then you can continue from there.

You can go wander outside and kill some berserkers, thats how i got my booze. Then it leads to a whole booze-scandal affair. Have fun.
