The Huygens probe (which has been mostly exploring Titan recently) found evidence of geysers on the tiny Saturn moon Enceladus after a relatively close flyby! I've heard lots of theories about Europa supporting life beneath its thick icy surface, but never expected this! The ice is apparently only yards thick in the south polar region, where below the surface the water is being heated and released from the surface. Warm water is a great starting place for life to exist! |

You know what would make a good movie? A satellite lands and takes samples near the area where this water is that may support life and brings it back to earth to sample its contents. Somebody messes up and does not take all safety procedures, and contaminates the air with the sampled water.
A new bacteria that never before existed on Earth wipes us all out because of it. Maybe that's what happened to the people that lived on Mars millions of years ago.
