I don't think there is a max level for characters. The highest I've been is level 25. In Wiz 7 i finished the game at level 38 but Guardia is much larger than Dominus.

A friend took his group (of four) to level 32. I don't believe there's any theoretical limit...but after about level 25 you can paste just about any monster in the game.

All this talk about the highest level achieved is too easy. We can easily stay away from the quest by killing everything in sight and continue to level up. While we level up, the game becomes TOO EASY if not boring. The best thing to brag and be proud of is the lowest level to finish the game. It's more challenging is it not?

But then again... I guess if people play regardless of what we plan (Highest or Lowest) as long as we are having fun that's all that matters.

Yeh, I had great fun getting to Arnika at lev 2. With a party of four who were on the weak side. (Monk, Sam, Nin and Bish). You play anyway you want to. My latest party is wiping out all enemies, including the Don, Death Lord, scorchers, golems, etc. at lev 12. No deaths, I get them the first time! It is amazing how successful a party can be even at low levels.

I'm going to post one more after this to see what the next graphic is. Hope noone minds.

I would hate to think anyone would play a game like wizardry 8 for bragging rights to anyone. Im just always curious about the limits of a game.
ps: cool graphic
