Dreamer128, I love the game myself! I know I'm biased towards 1st person games, though. If you're a 3rd-person (Infinity Engine type) gamer then it may be a bit of a challenge.

Our Wyvern is probably hunting for a "buy this game" post now!

Okay, it's basically a first-person game (meaning you're in the game rather than watching it from overhead). You can create up to 6 characters. You start out as Warrior, Wizard, Thief, and/or Priests, and then you upgrade as you go along..to Barbarian, Bard, Monk, Ninja, Ranger, Samurai, Warlock, or to even more elite roles such as Assassin, Valkyrie, and Zenmaster.

There's 10 large dungeons, 3 huge overland map regions, three cities, five guilds (Warrior, Priest, Wizard, Thief, and Bushi Dojo). Your quest is to save the world from an evil undead pharaoh that has arisen far to the west. You have to obtain a special sword to do this (which you do about 2/3 of the way through the game).

There's all sorts of side quests (3 from each guild, generally, plus 3 from each city's town hall), loads of NPC's, and a lot of items to find. There's some bugs, but most of them work for the player rather than against. A couple of design issues they could have gotten better, including leveling up, climbing ladders, and it takes a bit getting used to the interface, but the learning curve is fairly easy.

Hope this helps!

Welcome to the board Dreamer128!!!

I've bumped up a couple of threads on this topic - hope they will help.
W&W is one of the very best CRPGs I've played in many years! (and this board is a lot of FUN to boot!)

Thanks alot guys, you convinced me.
That character evolving sounds a bit like planescape torment and although the storie sounds a bit cheap i think i'll really enjoy it.
B.t.w will there be any NPC dialog between you're party members?

Dreamer -

Your own characters do not talk to one another as they do in BG. If you like that sort of thing, you are free to imagine what they would be saying and if you REALLY like that sort of thing, you should start searching this board for some of the funny threads in which other posters have shared their characters' dialog with the rest of us!

Thanks alot.
I wont look at other threads though, i'd hate to be spoiled.
I prefer to experience everything myself.
I only joined the Bg2 forum after i'd finished the game so I could help others.
You'll probably see me here again in the future.

Dreamer - the threads I meant probably wouldn't spoil you at all - they're just funny - like the "giggling so hard" thread! When I have a little more time, I'll look for a couple of them (making certain that you won't get spoiled) and bump them up for you!
