I'm using Gamespy and when I try to join a game, the game automatically starts and my PC tries to find the network devices on the Host. But then it abdruptly stops and sais: Could not connect to session! Has anybody ever expreienced this problem or does anybody know a solution?? I disabled my firewall and my Virusscan isn't the problem either! I'm running Windows Xp, so that could be a problem! Can anybody help me, I want to whoop asses on the internet!

Welcome fellow Dutchie.. ....
About your problem, BG II isn't really made for multi-player purpose IMO, because if you play a multiplayer session everybody must have the same patches & modifications installed, without the same config of your BG II you will definatly encounter bugs and errors playing multi-player...

I don't remember if you get a helpful message (I don't believe you do), but all players must have the same framerate set. (Accessible through Config, but the darned program seems to reset the framerate to match the machine if you so little as open the machine tab after setting the framerate. The one you need to set is in Miscellaneous, I think.)
If you have a different patch version, I don't believe it even sees the game. |
