The first time thru BG2 I had Anomen, and we did the "Delryn family angst" thing where you have to talk Anomen out of killing his father. This time thru BG2 I also have Anomen but I didn't pick him up early in the game. The "family conflict" has not started. What keys that plot device?

Doesn't he have to spend some considerable time in the party before it starts? I remember some guy comes up to u and says for Anomen to come back to his house because his sister died or something.
I'm not sure cause i haven't had Anomen in my party for a long time. |

For future reference (this isn't going to help your current game - just wait), one of the easiest ways to experience the timed NPC-related quests (Anomen, Jan, Mazzy - anyone else?) is to let them join when you first meet them, then immediately boot them out. This starts their timer, so you can go do other quests, then later in the game add them back & their quest will usually start up right away.
