I'm with you Timber, the more ridiculous something someone says or does, the more likely they are to get publicity for it.

This guy is a L-O-S-E-R in every sense of the word.

I think we should just make Jerry Lewis ambassador to France.

ROFL! You know, this joke was made already some weeks ago over here. I didn't think it would be possible, that someone would come up with this idea for REAL!!!!!

Timber Loftis - the picture you posted is great! I'm glad that I've been the only one in the office when I saw it... (I'm supposed to work, you know... )

He wants to lug the entire statue back to France? Why, and what would be the point? It's from France, big deal, still doesn't give them the right to take it back. (hence it was a gift, and you just don't take gifts back )
Hey ! We don't want to take it back ! They want to give it back ! Huge difference here !

Now that I think about it though...hmmm I think I'm gonna sign the petition too. Moiraine was right, it would look just perfect facing the Eiffel Tower

Btw, did you guys know that we already have the Statue here in Paris ? We have a copy, on a smaller scale. She is on a bridge. She's cute.

In May 2001 I made my one and only visit to NY. I took the boat ride on the Hudson and got to be up close and personal with your "Lady of Liberty". The twin towers still stood at that time, and I was framed in their shadows as I took my pictures of the statue. Very impressed I was at this most American of symbols - America, the land of the free. The boat operator described the origins of the gift, the generousity of the French, and the strong bonds between the two countries.

When you see all the pettiness and bickering of today, it makes you wonder what would the Lady herself have to say of todays events, that is if providence were to grant her the ability to communicate her thoughs and obeservations to us.
