I hate to say it, but ever since he left the Canucks for Phoenix, and then Dallas, he hasn't been a player worth his salary.

I think management is just sending a message that they're not scared to open up roster spots for younger players if they'll perform...maybe sending him to the minors will resurrect his career...its happened before.

Regardless, he's better off, since he's big-time in the doghouse with the current management. Either this will be his wake-up call, or he'll realize that its time to renegotiate his contract and move to another team.

So the Dallas Stars are a hockey team? I can't help you here then. Thought they were a basketball team.
