Have you try casting invisibility on your fighters? Did you beef them all up by cleric (chant, aid, remove fear, chaotic commands...etc)? Have you try backstabbing with a theif?

And yes, summoning also works, it can draw his attentions.

My own advise....If any of your party use missile weapons(sling/bow),then use them.Turn off the AI (script)and have all your group fire at the guy.
On approach, use a stealthed thief or ranger to pick off those Kobolds with a bow. .....mmmm?, If you're having problems with this guy, then stay away from the N/W corner of the sewers for now! ....Also ,a wand of cloudkill should work wonders....Speaking of which,-can anyone tell me how many charges they have when you buy one back from a store? ------------------ "I can carry no more! ,I must drop what you gave me upon the ground." Heron, Cloudkill wand has 50 charges after resale. I should know, I have two. They can border on ruining play balance though, particularly if you habitually use it on thing out of sight and cast 5-6 cloudkills at a time. Very few things can survive that.

Actually i'm surprised what CAN outlive a killing cloud!,but yes i agree.I've been stingy(or forgetful),and only used mine once!-nice to hear it has 50 charges though.
What about a nice cocktail,of cloudkill, stinking cloud, death fog, web(just to be certain)and a few fireballs(for good measure)? BTW,i love the fireball wands, and think the ice ones are rubbish. thx ------------------ "I can carry no more! ,I must drop what you gave me upon the ground." Rakshasas are magic resistant (in original AD&D, they were immune to spells below 8th level, I believe). I like summonings, because tehy waste enemy spells as well
