Erm I am pretty sure I have a virus, my old anti virus system kidna died and I only have my trojan scanner so im not sure but I need to check becuz before it died it had found a virus,
Can anyone tell me the name of a good free virus scanner, I really am annoyed at paying for them as they just break just when you need them...

Thanks for any help and please dont flame me for being cheap and wanting free things because really it really has nothing to do with what i'm asking about...

Thanks,
J.W.K

www.mcafee.com - then select free scan. It's not the best, but it should find out if your hard disk has been infected. Worked for me.

Try the free AVG scanner. It's available here.

I have W32/HLLP.Hantaner.... Not sure what that means but it doesn't seem too nasty...
I did try AVG but it said something was missing or a corrupted file, I can't remember now, too early ... so that didnt work, unless it was just the one time...
I'll try it again,
Thanks,
J.W.K

This is what you have got. Ah, the joys of peer-to-peer filesharing programmes
